The Mayor conducted a public meeting in the Methodist Schoolroom at 4pm on Thursday 11th February. The questions from the public were wide ranging and the Mayor did a good job answering them. One question from a parishioner concerned the Viking Way. Copeland Councillor Moore responded that while the planning stage had been completed successfully, there were issues over funding that needed to be resolved. He remained confident that the project would be delivered.
In response to Guy’s question, I understand that there is some support for an external tap on the toilet block. At the moment the PC is reviewing the water bill, as it seems very high. We are also looking to update the plumbing in the block in the near future, and this suggestion will form part of that deliberation.
